Journalist, historian and cycling enthusiast, Carlton Reid, took to the Great North Road in a Morgan open top car – and a fold-up bike.
His video promises “oddities” about the road and its history. As well as picking off several of the Great North Road coaching inns, he includes some fascinating snippets including the 1930s cycle track alongside the Barnet bypass, the Roman baths at Welwyn, and the Roman settlement at Healam Bridge.
